Fall Saturday

This Saturday I was honored to help my friend Will out at an art fair in Harvard, MA.
Will has a lot of fantastic metalwork. You can check it out, and maybe buy some of your Christmas presents ahead of time, here on his website
The art fair was at the Fruitlands, the scenery was not capturable on an iphone 3.

After the fair, we went apple picking at Old Frog Pond Farm, which is apparently the only certified organic apple orchard in Eastern MA.

Frog Pond also has a fantastic sculpture walk, which was made particularly beautiful by the 5pm sun.

Kind Cabbies

1. Last night Natalie and I took a cab home. I don't take cabs often, but it made sense under the circumstances. We had a lovely ride, in which we spoke with our cabbie, Francois, in French, Spanish, and English about his life. Once I got home, I realized that I'd left my phone in the cab. This morning I called different cab companies and finally found the right one, got Francois' cell number, and found my phone. He even came to drop it off at my work. Swell guy.

14 Year Old Photographer Zev does some pretty amazing stuff
3. Today as I waited for the T someone next to me was tapping their foot in exact rhythm with the song I was listening to on my headphones.

4. This is the song that's getting me out of bed these days.

for the one you love

1. According to the Onion, Hell is Now a Thriving Epicenter of Gay Culture
2. Welcome to Night Vale. Have you been listening to Welcome to Night Vale, the podcast? There's a good chance that you should be.  It got me through this summer. You can download episodes for free on iTunes. It also has a fantastic twitter

3.  There have been a bunch of great spoken word videos making the rounds this summer. Here are two that I liked in particular:

4. If I were ever to get a tattoo of a comic strip, this would be it.

So friends, I am back. Thanks for continuing to check this blog all summer long (demonstrated by the fact that this blog's traffic has not decreased at all over the past 3 months), for gently reminding me to update it and understanding when I said it wasn't gonna happen. It's happening now. I love you all, every single little Russian robot searching for pictures of otters.
