better places to keep your heart

1.

2. Spent a beautiful weekend in a beautiful place with some beautiful people.
3. Silvia Mondello: "Once, overcome by emotion, I felt like carving my heart out not to feel anguish anymore. Instead of causing my own suicide, I started drawing and a heart as a piece of a cake close to a hot cup of tea came out.
Since then, I started this series of drawings, imagining odd or funny places where one should put his-hers heart instead of keeping it inside"

sweets of the year

1. Y'all can think what you want, but in my book this is the album of the year.
2. Last weekend I went to visit my sister and Isa in Brooklyn. Most of Saturday was spent just walking around Prospect Park. It was the best.

3. Love this.

4. The other day the subway conductor waited as a cluster of people (including myself) ran down the stairs to get on the train, cheering us on.

6.
Lines Written in the Days of Growing Darkness
Every year we have been
witness to it: how the
world descends
into a rich mash, in order that
it may resume.
And therefore
who would cry out
to the petals on the ground
to stay,
knowing, as we must,
how the vivacity of what was is married
to the vitality of what will be?
I don’t say
it’s easy, but
what else will do
if the love one claims to have for the world
be true?
So let us go on
though the sun be swinging east,
and the ponds be cold and black,
and the sweets of the year be doomed.
